Top 10 Tale by Bruce Evans Prior to our 50th class reunion, searching the web for music from 1957 to be included in the program, I noticed that one week during our senior year the following songs comprised the Top 10: "All Shook Up," "Little Darlin'," "Bye-Bye Love," "Party Doll," "Teddy Bear," "You Send Me," "Whole Lotta Shakin'," "That'll Be The Day," "Blueberry Hill," and "Blue Monday." ![]() It suddenly occurred to me that the titles could be arranged to tell the tale of the romantic teen tragi-traumas many of us experienced, to wit: ![]() "Little Darlin'," "Party Doll," "Teddy Bear," my thrill on "Blueberry Hill," first "You Send Me," "I'm All Shook Up," "Whole Lotta Shakin'" goin' on, then suddenly it's "Bye-Bye Love" on "Blue Monday" and "That'll Be The Day." ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() SiteDesign by Pinstripe | SiteMap | Report problems to Webmaster |
