Prior to our 50th class reunion, searching the web for music from 1957 to be included in the program, I noticed that one week during our senior year the following songs comprised the Top 10: "All Shook Up," "Little Darlin'," "Bye-Bye Love," "Party Doll," "Teddy Bear," "You Send Me," "Whole Lotta Shakin'," "That'll Be The Day," "Blueberry Hill," and "Blue Monday."
It suddenly occurred to me that the titles could be arranged to tell the tale of the romantic teen tragi-traumas many of us experienced, to wit:
"Little Darlin'," "Party Doll," "Teddy Bear," my thrill on "Blueberry Hill," first "You Send Me," "I'm All Shook Up," "Whole Lotta Shakin'" goin' on, then suddenly it's "Bye-Bye Love" on "Blue Monday" and "That'll Be The Day."
